MINUTES
Attendance: Gary Haley, Julianne Vanderhoop; many member of the public attended.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Haley at 10:05 a.m.
Review of minutes was deferred.
Special Town Meeting
(Selectmen set S.T.M date of May 7, 2019)
After discussion and presentation of one warrant article Chairman Haley told the gathering that this was not a discussion of whether the field should be turf or grass; rather he said the discussion would be limited to whether to have a town meeting to consider the following article:
• To see if the Town will vote pursuant to 603 CMR 41.05(5) Amendments to Approved Budgets, to approve the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School District Committee’s vote to use Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) of Excess and Deficiency funds to secure the services of an owners project manager and a landscape architect to design an athletic track and synthetic infield at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School campus.
Julie moved that the article as submitted by approved to be considered at a Special Town Meeting on May 7, 2019. Gary seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous in favor.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m. .
