2019 BEACH INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Town Lot will be open and charging to park beginning Memorial Day weekend and every weekend until June 15th when it will be open full-time. Access to Philbin Beach requires either a parking permit or a walk-on pass beginning Saturday, June 15th. Remember that cars without a Philbin permit or a walk-on pass are no longer allowed to drop off people or beach gear either in the lot or at the top of the driveway. Anyone walking in from the road must show the attendant a pass.

PURCHASING A PERMIT

Homeowners or residents of Aquinnah may purchase a seasonal parking permit and/or walk-on pass – limitations apply and are listed on the application. People who rent from Aquinnah homeowners may also purchase a parking permit or a walk-on pass for the length of their stay in town. Proof of your rental agreement with confirmation of dates is required. Residents or renters who don’t need a parking permit, but want to walk-on to Philbin may purchase just a walk-on pass. See the application for details. Passes do not limit the number of people who may access the beach with that pass. Resident Parking Permits allow Aquinnah residents to park in restricted spaces identified with signs (Lobsterville Beach, West Basin, Red Beach, Herring Creek and around the circle at the Cliffs). Some homeowners leave this permit for their renters to use. Renters are advised to confirm this arrangement prior to arrival. This permit does not allow for parking at Philbin. Applications are accessible on the Town website and you may either mail them in or come in to complete the process in person. Please read the application carefully.
