WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
JUNE 17, 2019
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
County of Dukes County, ss.
To either of the Constables of the Town of Aquinnah
GREETINGS:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Aquinnah who are qualified to vote in the election and town affairs to meet at the Aquinnah Town Hall in said Town on the Seventeenth day of June, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. then and there to act upon the articles of this Warrant.
ARTICLE ONE:
To see if the Town will vote pursuant to 603 CMR 41.05(5) Amendments to Approved Budgets, to approve the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School District Committee’s vote to use Two Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Dollars ($229,730.00) of Excess and Deficiency funds to fund anticipated deficits in the FY 19 budget anticipated in the areas of heating oil, building maintenance, and transportation.
ARTICLE TWO:
To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Nine Dollars and Ten Cents ($8,989.10) to fund upgrades to the Dukes County Regional Emergency Communication Center and Radio System, said sum to be added to monies appropriated at the Annual Town Meeting held on May 14, 2019 to cover the Town’s share of the FY 2020 appropriation.
ARTICLE THREE:
To see if the Town will vote to expend Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) from the Waterways Improvement Fund to permit and construct a shed for the Shellfish Constable/Harbormaster at West Basin, or take any other action relative thereto.
And you are hereby directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies at the Schoolhouse/Library and Town Hall in said Town at least fourteen days prior to time of said meeting. Hereof, fail not, and make due return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of said meeting.
